"A good truck company will require a blue collar group of strong intelligent critical thinkers who are capable of violence, yet disciplined when it comes to prioritizing tasks and effective freelancing."
Grunts will have the ability to perform tasks independently without constant supervision or micromanagement. Whether on the roof, above the fire or removing barriers on the perimeter, most of these tasks must be performed solo to ensure successful fireground operations.
This presentation uses live fire footage of truck operations being performed using unique and unorthodox tactics during fires in basements, top floors, vacant buildings, SFD's, MFD's, highrises, and elevator control position to name a few.
"Everyone works on the truck company" Captain Brian Butler
We’ll be sharing our experience over our time from engine to truck to performing multiple tasks that are required on the Fire ground. The “Senior Man” and his role. You personal responsibility to your performance both in physical to a mental state.
Captain Bryan Emenecker (Ret)
In rural areas especially as well as some major cities, Engine Companies and Truck Companies alike are responding to structural fires UNDERSTAFFED. In this portion of the seminar, we will discuss what the understaffed company can do in the event that a firefighter needs to be rescued in any part of the building, from the basement to the roof. PROACTIVE RIT for those members not directly involved in fire suppression is 1000 % necessary. EVERYONE ON THE FIREGROUND IS PART OF THE RIT/FAST TEAM......
