Brian is a Bronx NY native who moved from Poughkeepsie NY to Trenton NJ in 1981 where he served time at Trenton State Prison (as a CO) and Camp Geiger NC in the USMC. After getting his GED, Brian went on to earn a masters degree graduating magnum cum laude from Hood University.

Prior to becoming a fireman, Brian held over 50 jobs from 14-27 yrs old while focusing on a failed amateur boxing career until he fell into the 90's party scene making appearances at over 1000 bars in 75 cities in 25 states. His lifelong dream of becoming a ghetto fireman came true in 1997. He favored the nozzle and tillerman position because he loved interior attack, throwing ladders, breaking shit, and being left the fuck alone at the firehouse because his side jobs in Jersey and Philadelphia bars kept him up late. He also had other plans..

The goal was to simultaneously live the life of a rock star "incapable of playing any instrument" while living in an urban rowhome, driving a busted jeep wrangler, and collecting as many insufficient fund ATM receipts and cash advance checks as possible to live out that dream, which was beyond successful..

Brian later turned his focus towards family and is currently married with 3 young children and very close to his retirement from the fire service. He currently resides in Hamilton NJ where he is writing a future best-selling book titled, "Lies, Pension Loans, Shore Houses & Scabs" while continuing his passion of speaking to firefighters all over the country. 

Brian believes in old school, street smart, street credit instruction, realistic methods, relevant training,  improvising, adapting, overcoming and not operating in robot mode, but rather thinking outside the box and achieving successful outcomes on the fireground by all means necessary. 

Brian also encourages fighting the PC, woke culture that has infected the fire service like a cancer, in addition to the bullshit being peddled to young firefighters for profit only or by those who don't have their best interest. Brian warns that will have dire unintended consequences..

All firefighters, not just the company officer, should be well-oiled size-up machines with the mind constantly running, monitoring, evaluating, taking in everything the scene is giving them subconsciously while continually maintaining situational awareness. Take the job seriously and have the ability to perform numerous engine and truck tasks solo.

Remember,  "You can still be 'into the job' without being fuckin goofy about it."

If you don't come away from the bar seminar more satisfied at the end than your enthusiasm in the beginning, Brian will stop speaking (or assume you had too much to drink).

Brian believes the key to living a long exciting life as a firefighter is not the "clean cab" concept, it's drinking black coffee in the morning, bourbon at night, water in between, surviving bad luck, and having a few beers with the guys after a good working fire back at the firehouse.  

Brian likes to come up with more than one way to do shit others have been taught one way to do. Brian enjoys being realistic, slightly lazy, creative, freelancing, coming up with easier and better ways to complete the necessary tasks on the fireground..
