Brian Butler has 28 yrs of urban career fire service (14 Engine 13 Truck) and has been assigned to 8 different engine companies and 4 different truck companies. His last assignment before being promoted to Battalion Chief was Captain of Ladder 2 in South Trenton.
Brian owns Urban Fire Training LLC and is the creator of the Urban Tactics Fire Seminar which specializes in customized programs focusing on relevance, critical thinking, auto-awareness. and using unorthodox tactics. This preferred method is far more beneficial and uses experiences in real time for content over the recycled text, slogans, and fire myths that typically create fireground robots.
Brian presents customized seminars on both engine and truck ops, specializing in SFD's, rowhomes, vacant buildings, basement fires, top floor fires and fire response in target hazard buildings (churches, schools, service stations, hotels) vehicles (CNG, LPG) passenger trains, commuter rail, and institutions (prisons, jails, psychiatric, hospitals)
